About Participants

Demo Users

Demo users can explore the platform without registering. They may join public leagues that allow demo participation and can submit one play per league per day. Demo users cannot refresh their game presentation and cannot join private leagues. Their password is shown once at creation and is never stored or recoverable. If a demo user logs out without saving their password, they cannot log back in. Demo accounts may be upgraded to full accounts, but only if the user still has access to the demo login.

Registered Users

Registered users validate their email and gain access to preferences, notifications, and private leagues. Registration is free and ad‑supported. Registered users are not limited to one play per day; their daily play limit is defined by their plan and may exceed the limits of demo users. Registration also enables persistent history and cross‑device access.

Subscriptions

Paid plans remove ads and increase capabilities such as the number of leagues a user may create or join, the number of plays allowed per day, and access to enhanced features. A link to pricing and plan details is available on the pricing page. Subscription limits apply per user and interact with league rules to determine final play allowances.

Daily Play Limits and League Rules

Each plan has a maximum number of plays allowed per day. Each league also defines its own maximum plays per day. When both limits apply, the lower value prevails. For example, if a plan allows three plays per day but the league allows only two, the league limit controls. Demo users are restricted to one play per league per day and cannot join leagues where the minimum required plays per day exceeds their plan limit. NFL Pick'em leagues don't use this daily model at all - there's one board per week rather than a per-day play count, so the daily limit simply doesn't apply there.

Game Presentation Refresh

Demo users cannot refresh their game presentation. Registered and subscribed users may refresh according to their plan limits. Refresh applies to any page that requires a database query. After reaching the refresh limit, users must wait until the next day for the limit to reset or sit through ads. Refresh limits prevent abuse and ensure fair access to system resources.
